Interdimensional Rite
2024

The viewer drifts through a constellation of prints, paintings, film, and sculptural forms, each arranged in a multipurpose hall where the familiar merges with the profound. Interdimensional Rite subtly threads together the vast scale of the cosmos, Buddhist notions of acceptance, and fleeting glimpses of ancestral memory, all anchored by humble readymades— site specific tables and floor panels repurposed from their everyday functions.
Fragments of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) are scattered across the floor. A central structure, resembling either a flower or a telescope pointing skyward, is constructed from reclaimed insulation foam. The surface displays an image of a weathered hand, delicate and faded, situated on angled remnants of work tables. Behind this structure, a film flickers gently in the background. The elements blur distinctions between the cosmic and the intimate, inviting quiet contemplation on existence, memory, and impermanence.
